The best part of being a watercolor beach maternity photographer is getting to make so many moms feel so beautiful every year. As a Watercolor Beach maternity photographer, I find myself constantly inspired by the beauty of expectant mothers against the backdrop of the ocean. There’s something magical about capturing those precious moments when a mother-to-be embraces her growing belly, with the waves gently lapping at the shore. The soft, golden light during sunset creates a dreamy atmosphere, making each shot feel like a piece of art. I love how the beach setting adds a sense of tranquility and joy, allowing the mothers to feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera.

We spent half of this maternity photo shoot on Watercolor Beach and the other half in Watercolor Gardens. This stunning momma picked some of my favorite maternity gowns to wear from my prop closet and she was stunning in them all.

When I’m behind the lens, I focus on creating a comfortable environment where the moms can express their emotions freely. I encourage them to interact with the scenery, whether it’s playing with the sand, feeling the breeze, or simply gazing out at the horizon. Each session is unique, as I aim to capture the individual personality of each mother and the special bond she shares with her baby. The laughter, the gentle touches, and the serene moments all come together to tell a beautiful story of motherhood.

After the shoot, I love to go through the images and see how each one reflects the joy and anticipation of bringing new life into the world. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’m preserving these fleeting moments for families to cherish forever.
