As a Family Photographer I get a little glimpse into your world. I truly love building relationships with my families. This family has a special place in my heart. When they first booked their photo shoot I did not truly understand just how special this extended family portrait session way. But as we started planning this photo shoot I found out that grandpa has cancer. Grandpa is a fighter and we are all praying for the meds to start working.

During their family session while the baby nursed grandpa and I had some time to chat, and his words touched me. He said he was blessed. Blessed to treasure every moment. Therefore he treasures his wife. Its moments like this that remind me to slow down and absorb every moment of this crazy thing we call life.

I always say God has His hand in everything even when we can’t see it. When one photographer’s family session with this special crew got rained out I was the lucky one who got to step in and make it happen at the last minute. Family sessions are so important for capturing how we grow as a people. How are lives progress and change and the new, happy smiles we gain along the way.
